Privacy Policy

Plain language about how Work From Hound handles website, newsletter, and tester-interest information.

Work From Hound LLC operates this informational website and the Around the Water Bowl email newsletter. The website does not currently offer public app access, user accounts, comments, purchases, personalized assessments, or affiliate links. If you choose to join the newsletter or express interest in private testing, we collect the information needed to manage your request.

Information you choose to provide

The Around the Water Bowl signup form asks for your email address. When you submit the form and confirm your subscription, MailerLite may also record the form used, signup and confirmation dates, subscription status, IP address, and other technical information needed to document consent, prevent abuse, and deliver email.

Please do not send sensitive personal information through the newsletter form or by replying to a newsletter.

How we use newsletter information

We use newsletter information to:

  • confirm and manage your subscription;
  • send Around the Water Bowl and requested welcome resources;
  • deliver the Before You Buy: Pet Food & Treat Label Guide;
  • process unsubscribes and privacy requests;
  • protect the form and mailing list from misuse; and
  • keep records needed for legal and operational purposes.

Private-testing interest list

Our separate Hound House Apps tester-interest form asks for your email address and permission to email you about private testing. We use this information to manage the interest list, consider potential testers, and contact people about testing opportunities.

MailerLite processes this form and its email records for us. These may include the form used, signup and confirmation dates, consent and subscription status, IP address, and technical records needed to deliver email and prevent abuse. The form uses email confirmation for new subscribers. An address already active in MailerLite may be added to the interest group without another confirmation email.

Joining the interest list does not create an app account or subscribe you to Around the Water Bowl. An existing newsletter subscription remains unchanged. Tester invitations are approved individually.

We keep interest-list information while considering people for private testing. When recruitment ends, we delete or limit information we no longer need, subject to the recordkeeping exceptions described below. You can ask to leave the interest list, or request access, correction, or deletion, by emailing privacy@workfromhound.com.

Please do not send sensitive personal information through this form. Before app access is provided, selected testers will receive the privacy information and terms that apply to their use of the apps.

Your email choices

Newsletter signup uses a confirmation process. Every newsletter includes an unsubscribe link. You may unsubscribe at any time or contact us at privacy@workfromhound.com. After you unsubscribe, we may keep a limited suppression record so we do not add you back to the mailing list by mistake.

Service providers

We use service providers to run the website, newsletter, and tester-interest list:

  • Cloudflare provides website hosting, security, Web Analytics, and related technical services.
  • MailerLite provides the signup forms, confirmation process, subscriber records, email delivery, automation, file delivery, and unsubscribe functions. MailerLite processes subscriber information for us. You can read MailerLite’s Privacy Policy.

Work From Hound does not sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising.

Technical information, analytics, and email records

The services used to host, protect, and operate this site may automatically process limited technical information, such as an IP address, browser or device information, request data, and security events.

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand aggregate website traffic and performance. Cloudflare states that Web Analytics does not collect or use visitors’ personal data. We use this information to improve the website and do not use it for targeted advertising or individual visitor profiling.

We have not added advertising trackers, Meta Pixel, or MailerLite’s separate website-tracking script. We have also disabled open tracking in our current newsletter setup. MailerLite may still process delivery, bounce, complaint, unsubscribe, link activity, and similar technical records needed to operate and protect the email service.

MailerLite forms may use cookies or similar browser storage to operate the form, remember its status, and help prevent duplicate displays or abuse.

How long we keep information

We keep active subscriber information while you remain subscribed. If you unsubscribe or ask us to delete your information, we remove or limit it when reasonably practical. We may keep records needed to honor your opt-out, comply with law, resolve disputes, maintain security, and complete routine backup cycles.

Your privacy requests

You may ask to access, correct, or delete newsletter or tester-interest information connected with your email address, or withdraw your consent to future newsletter or private-testing email. Send requests to privacy@workfromhound.com. We may need to verify that you control the email address before completing a request.

Security

We use reasonable safeguards for these newsletter and tester-interest services. No internet transmission or storage method can be guaranteed completely secure.

Children

This website is not directed to children under 13, and the newsletter and private-testing interest list are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect newsletter or tester-interest information from children under 13. If you believe a child submitted an email address, contact us so we can remove it.

Links to other websites

This site and newsletter may link to government pages, social-media accounts, and other outside resources. Those websites operate under their own privacy policies.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the website, newsletter, or service providers change. The current version will be posted here with a revised last-updated date. We will update this policy before a new feature materially changes how we collect or use information.
