Work From Hound grew from the health concerns I have been through with the pets I love.
Those experiences led me to read labels, ask more questions, compare options, and keep looking for better ways to support them. I wanted clearer information so I could make more thoughtful choices for my own pets.
My professional background taught me to evaluate information, assess risk, and keep digging until I can explain something in plain English.
More than twenty years ago, I started an online pet business to help people make healthier choices for their pets. That chapter ended, but the mission never did.
Work From Hound is the next chapter.
I am not a veterinarian, and I am not here to tell anyone what to buy. I am a pet parent who believes people deserve clear information without fear, shame, or judgment.
Better, not perfect.
Meet the family behind the name
Bubba is a senior Basset Hound and the calm, steady, slightly bossy boss of the house. He likes to stay close, takes meals seriously, and believes naps should remain a top priority.
Pearl is a young Basset Hound and Bubba's little sister. She is curious, observant, playful, and settling nicely into the Basset Hound lifestyle, which includes spending much of the day napping on the desk.
Theo is a white Persian. He is elegant, aloof, a little ornery, and often somewhere he is not supposed to be. He has also been known to "sign" papers left on the desk with two tiny tooth marks.
Max is a silver tabby Persian. He is watchful, talkative, and highly food-motivated. People food, cat food, and dog food all deserve his attention, and he is always ready for seconds, thirds, and a careful inspection of every bowl.
Why Work From Hound exists
Most pet parents could research every label, claim, recall, and company for themselves. Most of us also do not have hours to sort through conflicting information every time we make an everyday choice.
Work From Hound exists to make that information easier to understand. Not to hand out verdicts. Not to tell you what to buy. To help you see the context, weigh the tradeoffs, and decide what makes sense for your pet.
